Josh Cobb tests NuFletch against 2" Speed Vanes
Life long shooter Josh Cobb picked up NuFletch at a show recently and decided to test them against some 2" speed vanes. Josh provided us with the following report - totally unsolicited, by the way.
Nufletch vs. 2 inch speed vanes:
Arrow used will be easton epic 400 carbon n-fused
Field point will be 100 grain field tip
First shot was at ten yards with 2 inch vanes and produced a perfect twelve ring.first shot with nufletch also produced a perfect twelve ring.
Second shot was at twenty yards with 2 inch vanes and produced a perfect twelve ring.second shot with nufletch also produced a perfect twelve ring.
Third shot was at thirty yards with 2 inch vanes and produced a perfect twelve ring.third shot with nufletch also produced a perfect twelve ring.
Fourth shot at fourty yards with 2 inch vanes produced a perfect twelve ring.fourth shot with nufletch also produced a perfect twelve ring.
Fifth shot at fifty yards with 2 inch vanes produced a perfect twelve ring.fifth shot with nufletch produced a shot that was 1 inch below the 2 inch vane arrow.there is a one inch drop at fifty yards.
After two weeks of test and study I have conclued that nufletch vane system will change the way arrows are fletched all that anyone has to do is give it a chance and a little fine tuning of your sight pins you will produce perfect shots everytime.Nufletch vane system also steadys the rear of the arrow during flight.this product will help you refletch your arrow and get back to shooting.
I weighed the nufletch vane system with 2 inch vanes installed at 100 grains.the insert used to install the nufletch system was at 22 grains.
The speed of the arrow with standard 2 inch vanes was 279 fps.the speed of the arrow with the nufletch stystem was 265 fps.there was a drop in speed but I can produce studies that this is not enough speed lose to really affect the arrows entergy level.
