What does the NuFletch System Weigh?
As archers we are always concerned about adding weight to the arrow shaft. The NuFletch System’s design does add weight to the arrow shaft. Remember you will remove approximately 3.5” of arrow shaft weight to allow for the Spectrum’s assembly. We have included grain weight in the "Tech Talk" page along with technical Descriptions on the page to help you better understand and make educated decisions on the NuFletch System. Test shots have proven that an arrow fitted with the NuFletch system design will perform like an arrow fletched with glued on vanes. The archer will more than likely not have to adjust his bow sight until he reaches distances over 6o yards. Proven performance with no fletch hassle, now that’s what I’m talking about.
Does it fly straight?
The NuFletch precision CNC design keeps the fletching alignment perfect. Arrows stabilize quickly and energy from the bow string is passed efficiently to the arrow. Once in flight the arrow stabilizes quickly because the stiff tail of the shaft reduces oscillation. The result of the quick recovery is directly related to the speed down range.
How much weight does the Standard NuFletch Spectrum add to my arrow?
Example of total weight with the NuFletch Spectrum Standard on an arrow weighing 9.9 grains per inch:
Spectrum Standard = 65.5 Grains
*Don’t forget you remove 3.5" of shaft weight to achieve proper arrow length*
- 3.5" @ 9.9 grains / inch = (-) 35 grains removed from shaft
- Add Back (+14.2 grains) for the insert (Standard Arrow Insert For Your Shaft)
- Spectrum Standard - 3.5" (shaft weight) + insert = Added Weight
- In this example: 65.5 - 35 (removed shaft length weight) = 30.5 + 14.2 (added insert) = 44.7 grains added.
Is the Nufletch product noisier than a conventionally fletched arrow?
NO. The NuFletch arrow is extremely quiet and does NOT whistle. The arrow is as quite as any conventionally fletched arrow.
Can we put the NuFletch product on any arrow?
Currently we offer the NuFletch System to fit a very wide range of arrow sizes. Please check the recommended arrow sizes as listed on the "product use page". The results of our testing on these products unanimously show the NuFletch System to be an incredibly accurate and durable design. Please see the "recommended product use selection guide" on the web.
What vanes can we use with the Nufletch arrows?
The NuFletch System was designed around the Blazer vanes. 2" Blazer vanes are available at most archery stores and here on line. The NuFletch System is packaged with the Blazer product and are recommended because the grooves in fletch holder were created specifically for the tight tolerances offered by the Blazer Vanes. (Cross Bolts offered with 2.125" Fusion Vanes can house other vanes such as AAE and VMax)
What comes in the NuFletch package?
The NuFletch System is packaged with three fletch holders. If ordering on line, you may request color for the NuFletch System as well as vane color (Fusion vanes also available for cross bolts). The package also includes three matching double lock nocks. *Please note* Due to the large assortment of arrow diameters and inserts, NuFletch does not provide arrow inserts) Please see your local archery dealer for inserts.
